CG-4A Waco Glider (with C-47 glider tug)

55.9k BMilan  6.5 years ago

The CG-4 Glider was designed by Waco Aircraft Company during WWII for the USAAF but it was heavily used by the RAF and the RCAF as well (the Wacos used by the RAF were called Hadrian). it was a small, light weight glider aircraft and was able to carry up 13 soldiers or a Willy's Jeep or a smaller cannon. They were usually towed by C-47 Skytrains. I reuploaded it because I noticed some small mistakes that I fixed now.

Controls:
AG1 - Activates the wings and engines of the C-47
AG2 - Detatches the Waco and activates its wings
AG3+Trim up - Rotate the Waco's hull forward and opens its front door
AG4 - Activates the Willy's Jeep
CAM1 - Jeep's driver view
CAM2 - C-47 chase view
CAM3 - C-47 orbit view

How to use:
Thanks to its smaller size compared to the Hamilcar, with this one, you are able to take off from an airfield and don't have to start from airborne. Once you are in the air, activate AG1 and set throttle to 100% (you can also set trim up to around half-way to upwards so the C-47 will be easier to control) once you're close to your destination, activate AG2 to detatch the Waco and activate its wings, then try to carefully land at a flat ground. Once you landed, activate AG3 and set Trim up to the max. This will rotate the Waco's hull forward and open the nose for the Willy's Jeep to roll out. Activate AG4 and use pitch and roll to drive the Jeep. Now you are free to kill some krauts!

Have fun!

@struvki Thanks, this feels good :)
These replicas are pretty old tho and very inaccurate in terms of size and detail but I'm glad you like them. Be sure to check out some of my newer builds, they are way better ;)

@JackTheBestBoss some very small mistakes that I noticed like the steel brams that are holding the wheel on the glider werent attached to the plane, also the glass on the front of it was made of one piece and it could be seen from the inside.
