AugustaWestland CH-149 Cormorant V.3
Yes, I made yet another…
Allow me to gladly present my next version of the CH-149 Cormorant. Featuring an interior and (mostly) working cockpit, this is my most detailed project yet.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ag1 for main engine, activate with collective at 0%.
Ag2 is for the door.
Ag3 is for controls of the spotlight.
Ag4 is for the magnet.
Ag5 is for the auto-stabilization, useful for hovering.
Ag6 is for the spotlight.
Ag8 is for main rotor controls.
Throttle is for the collective.
VTOL is for the ramp.
Trim is for the winch/rope.
It sure isn’t perfect and the dimensions are off, it sure isn’t fully accurate, but I put many hours into this thing and had to get it recovered from corruption by an IT genius through valiant efforts after a very frustrating forced power down while the copter was loaded and SimplePlanes was running. I hope you all enjoy this, and possibly expect another version. Yes, I may have Cormorant Fever. I sincerely hope you all enjoy.

I’ll be happy to see one back if you do, just continue to do what you enjoy the most @EGplanes
@Airforce51 I was surprised to find another comment after all this time. I have kinda stopped with SP (couldn't say exactly why. Guess other games are more immediately entertaining) but yeah, how time flies. Btw, if I do get back into SP for a while, there may be another Cormorant with the new updated smoothness for blocks. No guarantees though.
Doesn’t feel real how this is 1.2 years old
Huh.
@MegaFox Mine does have the tail blades, but some bubble windows are missing and the spotlight is nowhere to be found. I think two tail blades are gone too
Lol, does your have no tail blades?
@MegaFox I have a model too which was very helpful when making this. It also is metal.
I have a toy model of this!
And for some reason... the tail blades are gone, that happened on another metal heli model I have ! The heck....l
Ah ok. Thanks for that. 😃@EGplanes
@Jacklepyansky Yeah that happens with big loads, not much can be done about it.
I keep having a issue where the magnet falls off the winch
May the Chinese Air Force J-11 pilot come to report
@EGplanes K. That really helps
@metallicplanes Take it slow. Don’t want to go extreme when transporting things or people.
@EGplanes It does that on pretty low throttle. On heli's I don't throttle over 30%. But this one won't take off unless you go 55-60%
@metallicplanes That’s because your throttle is waaaay too high. Keep it quite low.
@EGplanes Without you controlling it with auto stabilisation on, it flips you over
@metallicplanes With auto-stabilisation enabled, that shouldn’t be a problem.
@EGplanes You know disabling it will make you lose it's control
@metallicplanes That’s why I made disabling the main rotor controls an option.
The spotlight controls are useless cause they move the heli with it
Very nice job . Very fine detailled . I love it .
Daaaaaang. Noice work. Would you consider making an EC-120?
@EGplane Detail makes all the difference good job
@Monsterhunter Thanks! This level of detail and this building process was a first for me. I’m glad you find it looks good!
