The HNS Leo was reconstructed in 1943 by lengenthening the hull for 18m, adding bulges, replacing the main cannon with new 283mm L/57 gun and seconadries were replaced by 8 twin 128mm L/53 gun. She then serve as the flagship of HN until she retires.
