The THETA MkI is a heavy truck chassis. It has 8 wheels, all powered by an electric drivetrain. It is usable on most rocky planets with some modification to the suspension system. The shown variant is the EARTH variant, which has roof vents.
Designed as a "mobile fortress", the body consists of three segments; the front being the cabin, the middle an airlock, and the back is a multipurpose space. The hull is armored and protects against natural hazards, as well as light and medium weaponry.
USES AND PRODUCTION
The THETA has both military and civilian applications. It can be used as a transport vehicle for troops or workers, or light cargo. Larger objects require the cargo door variant to be transported.
With additional modifications, it can be used as a mobile command center.
Non-military applications include mobile laboratries and medical stations, or as the name implies, and exploration vehicle.
The THETA MkI is produced in a built-to-order scheme. Any registered civilian without a criminal record may purchase units. Any company, police force, or military may purchase units.
It should be noted that the unit is not road-legal without an escort as it is too wide - it takes up two standard lanes.
