The XP-55 was one of the most well known and bizarre looking experimental fighters of the USAF. During the early 1940's this unusual plane was designed and three test prototypes were made. The plane had poor performance in the wind-tunnel tests despite its futuristic appearance, and the first test flight ended in a catastrophic crash. Not even one XP-55 served in the army. This replica simulates the original very accurately, and be careful to not get into the stall zone, because that is how the first XP-55 flight test crashed.
