The Thorne AutoMidge

Ever wish my Midge helicopter was also an autogyro? of course not! but lately I've been going through an autogyro phase and it's all I think about.

Why is it swiss?

heynononono-- don't ask why, it was meant to be.

How do I fly it?

-First activate AG1 for 5-10 seconds for pre-rotation
-Once you have sufficient RPM, disable AG1 and increase throttle
-You should be good to pull up at 40kt (45mph)
-Once up, the Autogyro flies just like a plane except with helicopter performance
-Use the trim to adjust for any lateral imbalance

forgive me for the lack of effort in the presentation this time, I really wanted to share and I'm ready to crash for the night-- I like to believe I keep a high standard lol

@Thorne I wonder if the autogyro’s rotor is capable of stopping.

flying this is awesome, it feels like escaping a natural disaster and flying to small forest air field

Thanks man, the engine shutting off is just a formula I made to keep it from going over a certain speed, it catches me too a lot lol; and I’m not sure what’s up with the wheels, it’s turning the right way but the thing wants to move the other way, I tried setting the sideways traction on the front wheel to 150% and forward traction to 50% and that seems to fix it! @Kodak

I don't know if the problem is on my end but the engine seems to shut off randomly during flight, and the front wheel controls are inverted, when you hit the left yaw it turns right. Ohter than that I absolutely love it.

I dunno why but seems all Autogyros are underrated..
Absolutely cracking job with parts efficiency
