H.M.A. Skyward Spiral
"Spiral, reporting from above. The horizon is clear"
Role: reconnaissance, electronic warfare
Crew: 1 pilot,1 commander/main radio operator, 1 operator
H.M.A. Skyward Spiral seeks out threats from above. It boasts no weapon, but it is always looking and listening for whatever may come.
It`s sleek shell is partially made out of newly reingeneered Old World technology - fiberglass. While not yet mature enough for major structural elements, this tech allowed the aerodynamicists at Institut Termodinamica go far with all kinds of fins and tips. An atypical dedication to aerodynamic performance lead to simple but sleek shapes. Even the rear stabilizers are fully actuated to increase efficiency.
The design includes a weave pattern commonly seen on rugs and gobelen edges across the Innada area.
The whole rear of the fuselage is a massive antenna that can dynamically change it's sensitivity and pick up even weak signals from underwater. If lucky, Spiral`s crew can pick up enemy talks even before they come into visibility. However, military secrets are not the only thing that shows up on air. Operator Vina Burn keeps a notebook full of silly, embarassing or otherwise funny communications she overheard both from friendly and enemy "secure" radio channels.
But the Wanderers' communications are still impenetrable to the Royal forces. Their radio usage is scarce and many suppose that there is some enitrely new form of communication at play. Who knows, maybe some day the Spiral will snip some secret that will turn the tide of the war.
Hi, I'm trying out some new things like the decals, wing thickness and playing with fuselage slicing. I'm thinking of a suitable visual style for HMA that would include some cool decals. Be careful on takeoff, the tail may scrape the ground.

@ThomasRoderick yeah. Shall keep these flying. I keep daydreaming about this universe, it has influenced me so much. Making up adventures and lore in my head. Snipping planes from the internet archive versions. So many years, and it's the most gripping and thrilling thing ever.
Good to see Treadmill's legacy carry on!
