This ship was built in under a day

MCS Košava is a corvette of the Wind class that served in the M.Corp navy during the second world war and well into 1950s. It is a fast ship optimised for patrol and anti-submarine duties, although it can easily be refitted as a minesweeper. It currently serves as a museum ship, and is still seaworthy.

Design:

MCS Košava is an anti-submarine corvette built for coastal convoy escort and off-shore sweeps. It is mostly unarmored with hull and bridge being resistant to small arms fire, armed with a 130mm turreted gun and a twin 30mm anti-aircraft gun mount. and fitted with two Medusa ASW rocket launchers and two racks for dropping depth charges.

Powerplant of Košava consists of a pair of diesel engine driving a single three-bladed screw, allowing the ship speeds in excess of 23 knots. It can cruise on only one engine to conserve the fuel.

Service history:

this history is fictional

MCS Košava has made a name for itself on July the 1st 1942, when it faced two German submarines simultaneously, destroying one and managing to survive against the other until air support came. For that the ship received a battle star (*). It was awarded a Medal of Bravery second rate for its participation it the rescue of survivors of convoy Africa 13, exposing itself to enemy submarines.
MCS Košava continued its service after the war as a patrol ship, in which role it was stripped of its anti-submarine armament and equipped with two 12.7mm machine guns on bridge wings. Following its retirement in 1959, it was re-fitted with anti-submarine armament and returned to its original condition. It is a traveling museum ship, usually moored across the street from Naval Museum.

Controls:

  • VTOL => forward, back;
  • Trim => steering;
  • Pitch + Yaw => AA gun;
  • Throttle + Roll => main gun.

Features:

  • Relatively low part count;
  • Somewhat realistic performance;
  • Lots of details;
  • Funky Trees inputs.
  • Propeller only propulsion;
  • Rudder steering (no VTOLs).

Enjoy

    @Armyguy1534 that's usually how it works. However, I was already getting too close to the limit of my laptop, and wanted to post the build before I get bored of it. There's not much to add anyway. Maybe I could have added a few more insignificant details, but they would hardly be noticeable and not worth the lag I'd have to endure to add them.

    @BuiltBionixInd10 nah, I was just very motivated. I wanted to build something like this for quite a while, and now I finally figured out how.

    @Numbers the input used sums up the total input, even though rotator is set not to follow it indefinitely. Thus, if you try to pitch it down, input keeps pitching down even though the gun doesn't. WHen you want to pitch up, pitch takes time to return into the envelope of the rotator. I could have adapted the input used in main gun traverse, but I was in a hurry to post it the same day I started it. Btw, as a moderator, I can see deleted comments.
