Union Pacific ALCO PA1
For Railfanethans' train challenge. The ALCO PA was a cab diesel locomotive that was built between 1946 and 1953. the PA1 and PB1 locomotives (the A in PA was the cab version and the B was the booster variant)?? used a 244 V16 4 cycle prime moover rated at 2,000 horse power. the locomotives total continuous traction effort was 30,500Ibs at 20mph. the PAs used a wheel configuration of A1A-A1A which means that the 4 ?outer wheels were powered on the truck and the 2 inner wheels were not.? However the ALCO 244 prime mover suffered reliabiliy issues which were eventually overcome with the PA2 and it's 251 prime mover which was more reliable. overall 169 PA1s were built along with 39 PB1s. Union pacific purchsed 8 PA1s and used them for general freight and passenger. I have created this model to almost the exact specifications of the original PA1s. the length is just 3 feet under the original length and 0.5 feet over the hieght. It carries 2 gallons over the actual fuel amount. It roll steers and pitch for movement. ACT 1 for headlights ACT3 for piolet lights. Enjoy!?????

Looks great! Would be a great locomotive with some freight cars
Cool!
Awesome!
Just a suggestion for your next train build. I would have taken the first screenshot and zoomed in to fill the screen, I think it would have been more impressive that way and better noticed, because this one deserves it. Second screenshot would have been a close up of the trucks, because a lot of work went into those things.
Nice build!
Wow!
