CV 3 Shock Wave

Auto Credit Based on ScrewedAccount's CA-2 Shock wave

Skill Level: Medium

The CV 3 Shock Wave is an upgrade the the CV 2. Tasked with designing a replacement for this classic design, EAS built a new version adding more manueverability, stability, and armor to the current design. Bigger props were added to the design for more power and speed in dogfights. Care was taken to retain the quad cannon design which was a key feature.

@CptJacobson just finished upgrading the airframe. It's still the dragon of course, but next step is throwing into turns as fast as possible and making sure it doesn't explode, so far tests have been good.

@CptJacobson in the process of. It's not going to be easy, it has a pretty large wing span, and part of it going faster is to reduce drag. It will share some components from the 86, but I'm trying to add vectorizing thrust which means the engines will help with turning, as well as forward swept wings for even more added turning ability, and maybe VTOL. Long story short, I have a lot of upgrades that I'm trying to figure out how to it into a single jet.

@Blurred Glad you like the modifications. I'm always down for helping my buddies optimize their planes. Plus it helps everyone get some well deserved up votes. If you ever want me to check a design just let me know. I know the SP community can be a little stuck up when it comes to up voting things.

Pretty sure I can fit that bill just fine, I recently been playing around with modded engines. Not a fan of modded parts, but this one will probably give Dragon and extra edge in performance.

The one problem with it is it’s design and guns don’t remove the guns otherwise it’s not the Dragon or it’s speed@EchoWhiskey11

@CptJacobson Hey no problem, I'm glad you like the upgrade. I simplified the lore as well. In the end it was just to heavy to be a VTOL aircraft, but it's plenty good at dog fighting. In AI dogfights it ran circles around the CV 2 so definitly improved the flight features.
