In 2016, the most advanced aircraft was adopted by the USAF, USN, and USMC. This aircraft would change the way that air combat was envisioned with a focus on stealth and the long range BVR fight. This marvel of technology is the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. Affectionately nicknamed the "Panther", the F-35 would come in 3 main variants: the F-35A (USAF & CTOL), the F-35B (USMC & STVOL), and the F-35C (USN & Carrier Ops).
