Mastodon (Bomber)
The success of the Mastodon caused some Italian engineers to try converting it into a bomber for the Regia Aeronautica. Onboard, a retractable turret and streamlining contrasted the simple open side gunner windows and radio antennas. Though it was fast for it's time, soon the ensuing years of aircraft development caused this plane to appear more cumbersome and primitive as it's namesake, and were soon converted back into transports after heavy losses.
I premade the original Mastodon so that it could accommodate a bomb bay. Well here it is with said bomb bay, as well as a load of turrets. The plane still retains it's docile flight characteristics, but it isn't as strong to hold itself against enemy fighters intercepting it. To counter it, I've added 5 turrets onboard, one even retractable, armed with Breda-SAFAT 7.7mm machine guns. They are all controlled with VTOL, and are individually activated, instead of all of them at once (unlike my last big bomber). Enjoy bombing your enemies to smithereens with this airliner-turned ravager!
VTOL to control flaps (and turrets)
AG1: Open bomb bay
AG2: Activate all turret controls (turns off flaps in place)
AG3: Extends/retracts retractable turret
AG4: Activates top turret
AG5: Activates starboard turret
AG6: Activates port turret

@TitanIncorporated I've done both before but I'll probably do it again just for you. :)
@ThomasRoderick For the most part, yeah
Retractable turret though was inspired by the ju 86 bomber’s gondola turret. I like little mechanisms like that.
