First entering service in 1960, the McDonnel Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat, twin engine supersonic interceptor/bomber developed by the United States. With most deployed during the Vietnam War, the F-4 was eventually retired by the U.S. in 1996, and by the U.K. in 1992.
