<<Soarin’ through the skies.>>
The B-3 Aurora is a hypersonic bomber made in Federation of Gilead and in service of TFM, following the escalation of the Siren War.

LORE

Developed in the late 2000s as an alternative to ICBM and other form of deterrent, the Aurora made its maiden flight in 2015, following Gileadean achievement on making scramjet engine more viable to be used on large aircraft. No more was scramjet engine limited only for hypersonic missile, for the newest bomber in the Federation’s arsenal is equipped with said propulsion. Realizing its potential as both an alternative deterrent and rapid response aircraft, the Aurora was quick to be the center of attention from the Ministry of Defense, both on development and on production, making the Federation of Gilead to have a less conventional method of deterrence.

In the Siren War, the hypersonic capability of the B-3 made it an effective rapid response unit, capable of getting in range to attack a Siren vessel and retreat as quick as it came. Moreover, the extremely high altitude and speed it operates means it can’t be intercepted during its approach, only when in retreat it becomes slightly more vulnerable as it regresses to its base supersonic speed to reserve fuel and prevent overheating.

SIREN WAR

Due to the unpredictable warping ability Sirens posseses, the TFM force is constantly caught off guard by the surprise attacks of hostile Siren forces, causing chaos and destruction that is hard to determine when and where it will happen. Moreover, it is proven that the warp ability they possess aids them in urgent situation, such as encirclement so they may retreat when they wish. Thus, Gileadean observers have come to the conclusion that the current reaction time of TFM forces is simply not enough to prevent further excursion, and as such is in need of a fast, hard-hitting unit capable of catching hostile Siren vessels before it can escape. With this in mind, the Federation of Gilead has approved to send 3 squadrons of Aurora bombers, both to aid the TFM forces and to gain precious combat data that can be used to improve the aircraft even further.

The B-3 role in the Siren War is planned to be a first-response unit. They’re stationed within the most well-defended airbase of TFM yet is prepared to take off at a moment’s notice. The Aurora can use several different loadout depending on hostile Siren’s capability. The default weapon choice for a B-3 is a single, hypersonic cruise missile within its weapon bay, the AGM-176 Scramjet-Equipped Guided missile System. With a max speed of Mach 9 and unparalelled kinetic energy, the missile is virtually invincible to any anti air system.

If a conventional missile loadout is prone to jamming, then the B-3 can use an older, cruder weapon, the GBU-34/B LABU (Large Airburst Bomb Unit) to be dropped directly on top a Siren vessel upon the hypersonic approach of a B-3.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover thanks! Gotta thank CnC Generals for that, got both the design and name inspiration from the Aurora in that game.

@FOXHOUND26 Oh yeah great news, I've managed to fix the wobble issue. Just download this plane again, I've updated the XML. The roll is a bit brutal but now you can fly in hypersonic speed under 10k m, thanks again for pointing out the flaw!

@DimitriIqbal91 oh ok but while I think the missiles can get pass most missile defense systems based on the performance in game I think that it is possible to defend against it just really hard but overall I’d give this plane a 7.5/10 in my opinion

@FOXHOUND26 the wobble happens if you fly too low. Fly above 10 km altitude and you're good. Also remember it basically has a 1000 km max range hypersonic cruise missile, it doesn't really need to go that close to be able to lob the missile. But yeah, thanks for the opinion! Would take that into consideration for better iteration of these high altitude, high speed bomber type.

@DimitriIqbal91 I’m not going to lie this seems very possible to intercept while it does fly high it’s on the slower side for interceptors against sirens it would work but against another nation with good interceptors it doesn’t stand that much of a chance and it starts wobbling above 2200 mph but this is my opinion don’t take it too seriously

These bombers will be assigned to the 34th Bomber Wing stationed in Fort Brimstone Airbase in Wright Basin.
    (Aurora bomber? COMMAND AND CONQUER???)
