KRI Bung Tomo 357
KRI Bung Tomo (357) , previously named KDB Jerambak (30), is a corvette type offshore patrol boat. This ship is one of three ships previously built specifically for the Navy of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. The contract started in 1995, and was launched successively in January 2001, June 2001 to June 2002. According to the contract, this ship should have been transferred to Brunei in June 2007. However, the Brunei government terminated the agreement citing a lack of personnel, they then contacted a German company Lürssen to find new buyers. After five years, Indonesia expressed interest in buying the three ships and is expected to operate in the 2013-2014 period. The other three ships are KRI John Lie (358) and KRI Usman-Harun (359), where the name of this last ship received quite strong rejection from the Singapore government.
