M1118B/90 Commando
VTOL and Yaw to steer. Pitch and roll to lay weapons. (1) activates weapons station.
"When I first heard that the 90mm cannon on the Commando could punch through the side armor of a Destrier tank, I was just as surprised as you are. In calculations and tests done by us, the Army, and the manufacturer, we concluded the 90mm gun could only penetrate the rear of the vehicle's hull. But I have visited the combat zone and saw for myself burned-out Destrier tanks with holes in the side from the 90mm gun."
-Dr. Nyokabi Wangeci, University of Nairobi, Department of Engineering.
The M1118B/90 Commando is a variant of the M1118 Commando, armed with a revised 90mm M89 low-pressure gun designed for similar vehicles. It is the principal light reconnaissance vehicle of the Paternian Armed Forces. It can also function as a tank destroyer, as its 90mm cannon has comparable power to the 105mm L7 tank gun. It retains a 3-man crew, with the commander serving as the loader. While this arrangement is less efficient than a dedicated loader, it allows for a more compact mount and was not seen as an issue due to the fact it is a reconnaissance vehicle.
This example is operated by the African Union in their conflict against the Continental African Federation, under the forces of General Mwathi Gathua in Kenya. The crew of this vehicle have painted bands on the barrel to denote armored vehicle kills. According to the crew, each band represents 10 armored vehicles. No clarification was made whether these were of any particular machine or for all vehicles. Several A-103 Mk II tanks were knocked out by the crew in close-range ambushes.

@Pilotmario k
@PyrusEnderhunter It's modern chemistry and metallurgy. The 105mm M7 was designed in the 1950's.
This gun was developed in the 1990's.
Due to unmanned turret (sorry for separate messages)
With 10 ft in height
Also, you know what I just realized? My A-103 E (expeditionary variant) is actually shorter than this thing...
Now it's certainly possible. Cause a 90mm with actual 90mm power punching through a futuristic MBT with 100mm side protection? I was worried that there was still triggered bias present.
@Pilotmario so 90mm=105mm...ok then
The 90mm gun has comparable performance to the 105mm M7, a Paternian derivative of the Royal Ordnance L7.
The side armor of the Victoria isn't particularly thick.
Very few AU tanks were knocked out by CAF forces, simply because they were rarely employed during this time. The nature of the terrain favored wheeled vehicles such as this and the Zamburak. Tanks in our use were mostly good for propaganda, given the limited number available and the lack of suitability to the terrain. @PyrusEnderhunter
But....one shot? When the armor on the sides has been rated for 100mm guns...+ERA? In CLOSE-RANGE? Plausible, but unlikely.
But to be honest, if this...thing can do such to a destrier which has armor comparable to that of a vicky or basilisk, then my shit can do the exact same thing to your forces...in which we too knocked out a large number of MBTs.
At first, when I read the description of this thing, out of all else, knocking out one of the best tanks on earth, I was pretty surprised myself...then I kept reading and saw that it was in "close-range ambushes" and was like: "Ok.....this is plausible"
