[About Yakovlev Yak-17"Feather"]

Wikipedia
The Yakovlev Yak-17 was a first-generation jet fighter operated by the Soviet Union in the 1940s.
In 1945, the Soviet Union ordered Yakovlev to develop a fighter aircraft powered by a single German Jumo 004 engine. To shorten the development period, Yakovlev diverted an existing Yak-3 fighter.
Only the engines were converted to jet engines, and the Yak-15 was completed.
The Yak-15 made its first flight in 1946, but it had some problems because of its design, which was adapted from a propeller-driven plane. The landing gear was the same as the propeller-driven tailwheel type, and the exhaust heat from the jet engine caused the tailwheel to melt.
An improved version with a front-wheel landing gear was therefore developed. The Yak-17 made its first flight in June 1947, and was codenamed "Feather" by NATO.
The change to the front-wheel type displaced the retracted position of the main landing gear, and the capacity of the in-wing fuel tanks was greatly reduced. The Yak-17 was therefore able to carry 200-liter fuel tanks on the wingtips.
The Yak-17 also performed well, partly because the original Yak-3 was a high-performance fighter. Later, however, with the introduction of the much more powerful Mig-15, the Yak-17 never became a major player. However, its good maneuverability made it suitable for training pilots to convert from propeller-driven airplanes to jet airplanes. Many double-seat training planes were also produced.

[About the work]
I created this model to participate in the "Win'sWings classic jet challenge".
With the restriction of only being able to use up to 200 parts, my goal was to create a build that did not look any worse than my usual builds that use over 500 parts.
No cockpit; VR not supported.

Thank you very much. I am honored to hear such words. But there are still more than 20 days until the deadline for the challenge. I am sure there will be more great submissions.

    Thank you very much!
It was fun to build it to keep it within 200 parts. I'd like to build and post another plane or two if I think I can afford to build them.
