Formula-SP/5
What comes before F4
Author's note: This is a simpler build than usual, i didn't feel like making it super detailed and all. But, it drives good, and that's what matters.
So, i found this guy on Youtube called Alberto Naska, he's an italian racecar driver and drives a style of car known as a Formula Predator. Basically a cheap, entry formula car.
I decided to attemp to make something similar to one, and this is what came out of that idea. It should be VR friendly and should be fun to drive, even if it's not too fast. It also comes with an FT 6-Speed "Gearbox" on the engine (code for which came from this machine, just modified. If you take this code from this car, give some credit to the owner of the programming).
Screenshots:
Controls: VTOL to accelerate and reverse (Lever)
Roll to steer (Steering Wheel Cylinder Grips)
Brake to brake (Brake button)
AG1 to start engine (S button)
AG2 for hazard light (HL button)
Have fun!
P.s: I'm not a Mercedes fan, i just like their classic livery of silver and turquoise.

@Mage2IsTriggered especially the accesibility. A Formula Vee costs around $10,000 to buy and a few grand a year to maintain(including tires etc). If you are an adult in a full time job, you can totally afford that, even if it is a bit expensive. And that's what intrigues me the most about entry-class open wheel racing.
@UltraLight open wheelers are in my opinion, where you find the most variety in car designs, that's what i like so much about them. You got stuff like Nascar Super Modifieds, Formula Fords, Formula Vee, etc. It's great
Yo, I read the first line and I was like, well, I saw a video of an Italian guy driving a "Formula Predator" and that comes just before F4 too. Started reading the rest then lol
I had no idea how many private open wheel racing leagues there are until recently, for example the Australian "Formula Vee," basically this but no downforce and less horsepower.
But yeah this is a really intriguing concept to me, especially people homebuilding their own cars. Like being an F1 driver, engineer, and mechanic all in one.
