Zoomer, Version 2!
A more detailed version of my previously released Zoomer helicopter. Created with the same vision in mind- make a helicopter that is simple, easy, and fun to fly.
Flight Process with Controls
Startup - Close doors with 1st red switch, and activate Master Power in low center of the instrument panel. Increase throttle to ~20%, apply collective pitch via VTOL to adjust altitude.
Flight - Standard helicopter flight controls:
- Roll for Roll
- Pitch for Pitch
- Yaw for Yaw
- VTOL for Collective Pitch
- Trim for Pitch TrimAuto Hover utilizes FairFireFight's Hover AutoPilot for horizontal position control. Keeps the helicopter in one place.
Altitude Hold uses an FT code I wrote that adjusts the main rotor pitch to keep the helicopter at a constant altitude. Not perfect, but works pretty well.
Extras - Included are unlimited flares, activated by either the 'Flares Continuous' or 'Flares Auto' buttons. Flares Auto will fire flares when the button is toggled on, Flares Continuous fires when button is held.
Red light on instrument panel flashes if your are descending to quickly for landing. Hard landings may break skids. Or not.
The rest is self-explanatory I think. Look around the cockpit, read all tooltips and information readouts.
Well that's enough reading about the build, go fly!

@Thorne Thanks!
This is awesome. It feels so clean. This is one of my favorites now, the design is wicked. I like the note on the skids too lol
@DatFiat126Fan19 College mostly, plus work and doing other projects and stuff. 3d printing was something I also picked up a few years ago and learning that skillset diverted a lot of my attention from here.
@BagelPlane okay but seriously, where were you in those hiatus?
@DatFiat126Fan19 Yeah, it certainly has been a while.
@BagelPlane where were you? it's been so long
@EnglishGarden well, now it's here!
@OkaNieba yeah, it kind of does look like that
I have been waiting 1.5 years
