You know what’s wierd! I got a glass nose, but obviously theres no glass on the pictures 😖
I’m aware that it has only 2 guns.
@ThomasRoderich I appreciate the upvotes you give but every time I join it get like 52 notifications… I mean are upvoting every build? Or the good ones?
Thanks! (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞(☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞(☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞@OneTwo
@FuriousDream thanks! it did end up to small
Even if @WarHawk95 said a lot of things about this plane (he's one of my friends and he's not only a Vautour lover, he's a perfection lover !) I really love it, it's for sure not like the real version of this plane but it's still beautiful and fun to fly :)
Ok! I don’t usually make scaled models, just like to make the model good and make it fly really, it came out way to tiny tho@WarHawk95
@Diloph also, a few more observations regarding this plane. The weight is highly unrealistic : about 17,000kg for a Vautour ans its armament when yours is max. 4,000 ; also the length of a Vautour IIN is about 17,5m when yours is 10m long. It's your choice not to build it 1:1 scale but I think it would have been great to make it life-sized. Other than that, the handling is nice and the performances look normal. (Yeah, I finally tested it)
Nice, I’m making a DHC-1chipmunk for a challenge! And uploading a wwi plane doon@WarHawk95
@Diloph nah man the flight performances would be dumb. In fact I began to build one some months ago but I paused it because of my other projects such as missiles and my SMB2 that I'm working on since two years bc I want it to be perfect
@WarHawk95
Nothing would be wrong on it lol
@Alta2809 yeah I was thinking about it...
@WarHawk95 You should build a Vautour dude!
@WarHawk95 Oops, I meant used by french whilst the Korean and Vietnam wars were in play. My bad lol
Haha@ChisP
I actually didn’t know this was a thing! Very cool!
Lol, honestly I like those, I call it detail LOL but I won’t do it next time 😑@SimplyPlain
Oof, I don’t know much about the Vautour, but I just added the handles on the wings for more detail, not like it was on the real plane, just a fictional detail, also if you didn’t like that? Idc cus it was kinda just my personal detail, thanks for that comment, it’s interesting, I’ll try to look more up next build for my fawker D-1
Or DR-1@WarHawk95
Np@CRJ900Pilot
@WarHawk95 lol jk
Teeny, tiny replica build.
Nice. But what's with all the grips? Is this the wingwalker-version..? ;)
@BLOODIUS nope, neither France or Israel are communist countries lmao
I haven't tried it yet but I'm a bit disappointed. I see a lot of mistakes on these screenshots that I don't like, as a lover of the Vautour.
- First, the version here is obviously a IIN, since it's the tandem two-seater. The IIN was an all-weather and night fighter, which was equipped with 4x 30mm DEFA 552, internal rockets and semi-active radar guided missiles. Therefore, it must not be equipped with bombs or rocket pods like here.
- Second, about the shape itself. What are these circles and hollow fuselages above the wings and backbone of the plane ? The wings had wing top partitions to redirect the airflow and not these ugly circular rings. Check the photos in the description. Where do you see such things ?
- Third, why did you make this glass nose cone ? The glass nose cone was mounted only on the Vautour IIB, the bomber version, which didn't have a RIO behind the pilot but a navigator/bombardier in front of the pilot. Also, the IIB could carry bombs and didn't have any guns. Which version did you really choose ? Check the pics again, the IIN didn't have the nose cone.
- Fourth, check the pics in the description one more time. About the livery, why did you paint it like it ? I mean it's your choice but for a replica you should have chosen a French Air Force or IDF/AF livery...
- Fifth, small detail but inevitable one, the IIN had small gun blast deflectors called in french "rascasses", that were placed just in front of the 30mm cannons. Is that what we can see just behind the glass nose on your version ? They're incorrectly made and placed.
- Sixth, about the description. Maybe try to improve it, and check the history of the plane. First, all the roles are mixed, second, the Vautour IIA and IIB were replaced by the A-4, indeed, but only in the IDF/AF. France never had Skyhawks.
I thought a platinum user such as you would make more researches and be more accurate on such a beautiful plane.
If you want me to help you improve it, it'll be a pleasure. I can provide you the armament such as the R.511 missiles if you wanna make a IIN, as well as the guns.
Sorry if you consider this comment mean, but I just wanted to make constructive criticism and not be an asshle.
*EDIT : Also, none of the Vautours had pylons between the engines and the fuselage.
@Alta2809 lmao it wasn't used in Korea nor Vietnam
