F-82 Twin Mustang

310 LittleKachowski  7.0 years ago

The F-82 Twin Mustang is a twin-fuselage aircraft in which it seems like they glued two P-51 Mustang fuselages to a structural wing. I am aware that most F-82's came equipped with drop tanks and other modules that would weigh it down otherwise, however the only thing extra about this plane are the quintuple guns on the structural wing.

PLEASE NOTE: The black nose decals are entirely decorational, and decrease the performance of the plane. If you wish to have a better handling plane, please remove these at your own will.

NOTABLE FEATURES:

-Proportional design, realistic control surface sides
-Realistic propeller rotation and blade count
-Ability to fly if one engine fails
-Realistic mock intakes
-Correctly placed armament

--EDITORS BEWARE--

Do not, under any circumstance, try to mirror this aircraft. It doesnt end well.

If you want to mirror a part onto the craft, place the piece you want to mirror on the correct X-value that you're looking for. After that, copy and paste the Y and Z values from the original part onto the part you want to mirror. (I use fine tuner)

Like it, find it very twitchy though, unfortunately ur is the price we pay so that we don’t end up as a fireball across the runway😀

Landing gear is a bit of an issue for me at the moment, so far all of my models must be started in the air. I do have semi-functioning landing gear techniques, but most of them greatly unbalance the plane and/or do not particularly enjoy touching down.

Stay posted! I'm working on some other goodies for this plane, too.
