Description

Developed by the private military company BlackGearCompany (BGC), Flint, designated as MAGIC (Mechanized Assault Gun and Infantry Carrier), is a Heavy Fire Support Vehicle (H-FSV) designed to help frontline troops with heavy fire support. The name Flint is derived from the flintstone, symbolizing resilience, steadfastness, and durability.

With a length of 9.1 meters, width 3.1 meters, height 3.6 meters, and having a combat weight of 46 tons, Flint is a considerably heavy one, for support vehicle compared to others in its class. It is equipped with armor capable of withstanding 40mm to 57mm autocannon rounds from the front and sides. Additionally, it features a modular armor system called CMAP (Combat Modular Armor Protection), designed to enhance survivability on the battlefield.

CMAP consists of multiple layers, including 50mm ERA (Explosive Reactive Armor), 20mm HHS (High Hardness Steel), 155mm Spaced Armor, and 40mm Composite Plastic. This layered configuration provides effective protection against kinetic projectiles, HEAT warheads, and explosive blasts, maintaining a balance between durability and weight.

As Heavy Fire Support Vehicle, Flint is armed with a 125mm main gun (specifically 125x577mmR), capable of firing projectiles at speeds ranging from 900 m/s to 1300 m/s. It utilizes various types of ammunition of course, including HEAT-FS (High-Explosive Anti-Tank – Fin Stabilized), HE-Frag (High-Explosive Fragmentation), MPAT (Multi-Purpose Anti-Tank), and White Phosphorus rounds. For secondary armaments, Flint is equipped with a 12.7mm coaxial machine gun, a 7.62mm RCWS (Remote-Controlled Weapon System), and eight smoke grenade launchers. Additionally, it features an ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) launcher with four tubes, which can be replaced with loitering munitions launchers fore enhance it’s adaptibility.

Overall, as a Heavy Fire Support Vehicle, Flint is designed to provide direct and sustained fire support for frontline units. However, despite its heavy firepower and protection, it is not intended to replace Main Battle Tanks (MBTs). Instead, it is meant to operate from strategic positions, delivering suppressive and precision fire while maintaining a relatively safe distance from direct enemy engagements. Its role is to support infantry and armored units, ensuring dominance over enemy forces through powerful and adaptable firepower.
