Le backstory
The USAAF wanted a new mixed power fighter to outclass the Russian I-250 and the Navy's Ryan Fireball. They conceived the MPF-13 Sky Serpent which has a turboprop and a turbojet engine. The speed is supposed to be like 330mph but I can't abuse XML Overload too much or I get a plane with poop aerodynamics. It comes equipped with two fuel tanks like those in the P-80 for escorting B-17 bombers. A new escort is being made for the B-29.
