M148 HIMARS II
Pitch and Roll to steer and move. VTOL and Trim to aim weapons. LandingGear to emplace vehicle. The M148 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, or HIMARS, is a Paternian light, self-propelled multiple rocket launch system based on the chassis of the Medium Tactical Vehicle, the 5-ton variant of the FMTV series of trucks. Improvements over it's predecessor include a more compact size as well as the option for add-on armor for the cab, improving its survivability against counter-battery fire. It improves upon the excellent ease of maintenance, and stategic and operational mobility of its predecessor. The improved launcher can employ the same ammunition as its predecessor, including the Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS. This particular vehicle employs standard 8-inch rockets with unitary high-explosive warheads.
