Lore (Fictional)
Made as a private venture from the company Charleston aircraft co. The F-41was originally designed as a puller plane, but after unsuccessfully passing wind tunnel it was changed to a pusher/puller design to help counteract the rotational instability caused by the pushback of the engine. After the design passed wind tunnel tests it was originally intended for the US military. After 6 months of unsuccessfully trying to sell it to the military the Navy found interest in a new interceptor design. The F-41 was then modified for carrier use.
