Designed in Brazil and produced in Mexico, the HA-28 is the newest ground attack and close air support aircraft to enter service for the recently formed Union of Central and South American Republics. The aircraft is capable of carrying significant air-to-ground payload, standard loading consisists of two long range AGM-65 and six short range Hellfire missles, a russian produced S-8 rocket pod and a gatling cannon. Dual turbofan engines optimized for operation in hot climates such as mexico's Chihuahuan desert, and an rough terrain takeoff and landing capable undercarriage.
