Me P.1099B Zerstörer - Attacker Challenge
If an attacker is needed, the “zerstörer” variant of this Messerschmitt P.1099 can do the job. The design was an advanced development of the basic Me 262 airframe and was proposed in January 1944. The P.1099B utilized the wings and tail of the Me 262A-2a, but had an entirely new and enlarged fuselage and undercarriage. Two Jumo 004C jet engines were to be fitted and a crew of two or three sat in the redesigned cockpit. In this version, it comes armed to the teeth with;
• a 55 mm MK-112 cannon in the nose
• 2x 12 R4A rockets
• 2x SC250 bombs
• 2x 30 mm cannon firing downward under an angle… basically a ground-attack version of the “schrage musik” setup used in night fighters.
• 3x defensive 20 mm cannons in the cockpit and in remote controlled barbets, all firing to the rear.
Controls;
• AG1 : this freezes out the plane’s flight controls and activates a gyro for increased stability. Pitch/yaw (keyboard or the on-screen joystick) are assigned to the defensive gun controls. You can cycle through the cameras for good aiming views of each cannon separately; for convencience though, it’s perfectly possible to control all guns firing to the rear from the gunner’s position camera angle.
• AG2 : lights
• AG3 : nose wheel unlock (taxi only)
• AG4 : drop both bombs simultaneously
• AG8 : toggle engine smoke effect

Aight@SimplyPlain
@Diloph perhaps there was some influence, who can say... Bell simply built the X-5 from Messerschmitt P1011 plans, so why not.
Wow, looks like the F3D skyknight
Nice plane
Very nice jet . Great job .
Looks like a winner.
Keep up the good work!
Sweet! Its very fun to strafe stuff lol
Never mind, I read the instructions wrong. Sorry. Really cool design though, the turrets are really fun to use @SimplyPlain
@xXRaindropXx -just tested, seems to work fine for me. No idea what the problem is then, I'm afraid...
Cool, but the control surfaces don’t freeze when ag1 is activated, and the turrets don’t move
