HELLO MY FELLOW SIMPLEPLANES ENJOYERS! HOW U GOING? Just want to present to you my newest project! The Lockheed P-3AM Orion, a variant of the renowned maritime patrol aircraft, which is a vital asset in the fleet of the Brazilian Air Force (A.K.A Força Aérea Brasileira/FAB).

History Time

The P-3 Orion, originally based on the Lockheed L-188 Electra commercial airliner, had its first flight on November 25, 1959. It entered service with the US Navy in August 1962, becoming a cornerstone of maritime patrol aviation for decades. The aircraft's distinctive tail stinger, which houses the Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD), along with its multiple sensor suites, made it especially effective in detecting and tracking submarines.

Lockheed L-188 Electra

Recognizing the need for a modern maritime patrol aircraft to enhance surveillance and defense over Brazil's extensive coastline and territorial waters, the Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira, FAB) acquired a fleet of 12 P-3A Orions from the United States Navy in the early 2000s through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. These aircraft underwent significant upgrades to extend their operational life and capabilities, resulting in the P-3AM variant.

The P-3AM Orion officially entered service with the FAB in 2011, assigned to the 1st/7th Aviation Group (1º/7º Grupo de Aviação) at the Santa Cruz Air Base in Rio de Janeiro

This thing is not THAT stable, so i'm sorry if you are having a hard time trying to fly with this giant tube with wings (or maybe I just have a really serious skill issue and can't handle any plane properly, nor tell if the plane is good or not)
Btw this plane doesn't have a cockpit, it would be too much stressful for me to do it
