so here is the mission: you have to build to transform a plane that isnt a seaplane by adding retractable floats (we in germany calling those things schwimmer that translates to swimmer). or simply put: build a normal land based plane with somethings (engines unde the wings or vertical stabilizer under the fuselage) and turn it into a seaplane.
rules:
your plane cant be a seaplane by build (no flying boats).
your plane needs retractable floats (you can give it bouyancy for safety but it must land on those floats only when landing normal. thats why i asced for more strange things like flying wing or canards).

you have two ways to partake in this challenge: the frist one is to build a succesor the second one is to post your plane in the comments under the linked post:very ugly basket.
there are for places in this challenge: first, second and third in my personal ranking and a place for the one with the most upvotes from the community.
points that you can earn: 5 points for using the limitations another 5 points for how the plane performs his duty and another 5 points for handling when landing.
the winner gets 12 upvotes the second place gets 9 and third get s 6 upvotes deadline is the 30 of september this year (because it is my birthday). oh and thanks to Datom he inspired me to use a paper as invitation.

@Apfelsaft ich bin deutsch. die aufgabe ist ein flugzeug das kein wasserflugzeug ist in einer umzuwandeln oder ein flugzeug zu bauen das auf dem wasser landen kann aber deutlich nicht dafür ausgerichtet ist.

@stig27 jupp bith can be used the only two rules are realy that you have to build a plane that isnt a seaplane and that it needs retractable floats to land on water. you can even build a dornier 335 (its one of the planes that get greenlight automatcaly if they get the floats on).

@doge thanks man i had some trouble in my first challenge because the only plane that was a succesor wanst fitting the challenge and all of the winners didn build a succesor so that i did think about a way to overlook all of the planes that fit the bill but arent succesors at the same time.
Boom just made it a lot easier to read pretty shure u just eliminated like 4 paragraphs also trying to be helpful not rude oh and I'm going to enter a aircraft @Irobert55
@doge i can do it yes but i am not sure how to tell the rules even with the fact in mind that the rules only forbid classic seaplane designs like flying boats.
How to make the challenge more interesting in 1 step limit the amount of words u use to describe the rules and stuff u don't need a 20page essay
@Llama44 die aufgabe ist ein wasserflugzeug zu bauen das einziehbare schwimmer hat und einer konstruktion folgt die nicht zu einem wasserflugzeug passt. wenn du mitmachen willst und ne idee hast zeig mir den flieger bevor du uploadest und ich sage ob der flieger passt.
@SledDriver i overhauled the description a bit but i am not shure if i can change the thumbnail afterwards.
@Irobert55 It doesn't have to be a real seaplane - just a simple plane-like shape with floats would be fine. Anyway it's not important what you have in the image, it just needs to be eye-catching. A sea background with the words "EXPERIMENTAL SEAPLANE CHALLENGE" would be fine.
As for the description, how about: You have to build an airplane that normally wouldn't be able to land on water because of its structure (for instance, it has fins or engines protruding underneath), but it has retractable floats that give it water-landing capability.

@SledDriver did you have a idea how i should formulate some parts of the description? oh and i didn know any try for a waterplane that is good for a thumbnail in the challenge. no one build such a craft even in real life.

@Irobert55 Yes, it's pretty hard to get a challenge post noticed. Another thing you could have done, though, is make the thumbnail more interesting. The scroll is a nice idea, but in the thumbnail it's hard to tell that it's a scroll. In your place I'd have used a designer background with water, and an interesting-looking seaplane or something similar, related to the theme of the challenge. The image needs to be eye-catching and memorable.
I'd also change the language of the description - at the moment it's probably a little hard to understand for most English speakers :)
@SledDriver i had that idea because my first challenge (a the sky crawlers challenge that went that went close to unnoticed) didnt get anny succesor planes (the winner wasnt even aware of the challenge until i asked if he wants to put his sanka into the run) and so i had the idea to make a collectors post so that i have an aesier time to get the control about nun sucessor uploads by seperating them for the rest of the comments.
