[PEA] Dassault Mirage IV

Part-Efficient Aircrafts~!!

This plane has a very big issue with the landing gear, and i just cannot fix it even though it is in default setting.

The Dassault Mirage IV was a French supersonic strategic bomber and deep-reconnaissance aircraft. Developed by Dassault Aviation, the aircraft entered service with the French Air Force in October 1964. For many years it was a vital part of the nuclear triad of the Force de Frappe, France's nuclear deterrent striking force. The Mirage IV was retired from the nuclear strike role in 1996, and the type was entirely retired from operational service in 2005.

During the 1960s, there were plans to export the Mirage IV. In one proposal, Dassault would have entered a partnership with the British Aircraft Corporation to jointly produce a Mirage IV variant for the Royal Air Force and potentially for other export customers, but this project did not come to fruition. The Mirage IV was ultimately not adopted by any other operators.

[Features]

  • Custom weapons
  • Modern Warships-ish payload

[Controls]

  • Normal flight controls

[Miscellaneous]

  • AG1 to release drag chute

[Guidelines]

[Speed]
This aircraft is relying in throttle power.

  • 100% throttle = Afterburner/full speed
  • 50% throttle = Normal speed/precision speed for bombing
  • 20% throttle = Landing speed

Humongous issue - Bouncy landing gear
The big issue is located on the landing gear. Whatever i tried to setting it, or even though i set it on default setting, it is always bouncy whenever touching the surface. Because of that, the landing instruction is different than my other previous bomber aircraft.

[Landing this plane]

  • Throttle 20% until touchdown
  • right when you're about to reaching the landing zone, immediately brake for your first landing phase.

Braking will cause the plane automatically pitching up by itself. It is necessary to press pitch down key in the same time you pressed the brake key.

  • In your first braking phase, press brake and pitch down key in the same time for a while, then release and get ready for the second braking phase.
  • Entering the second braking phase, repeat the previous step until touchdown.
  • Final braking phase, brake until you're completely stop.
  • Optionally, you can use your drag chute.

[Carrier landing]
It is possible to land this plane on aircraft carrier, but you should know the step.

  • Landing like usual until you're reaching the carrier.
  • Right before you're about to reaching the carrier, brake and pitch down (do the first braking phase like the previous).
  • As you're about to touchdown, open your drag chute, then brake until you're completely stop.

If you're not using drag chute to landing on the aircraft carrier, it will goes bouncing so hard upwards, thanks to that unfixable landing gear issue. So it is really necessary to use drag chute.

[Armaments]

  • 2x MAGM
  • 2x GPB
  • 1x HAGM
  • 126x FLR

[Armaments Guidelines]

[MAGM]

  • Medium-Range Air-to-Ground Missile, can only up to a half-range than usual, fire and forget.

[GPB]

  • Guided Penetration Bomb, the usage of GPB can be manually dropped like a regular bomb, or can be lock on target.

    • Select 'GPB - Manual Drop' to use manual drop mode, manually drop the bomb without locking any target.

    • Select 'GPB - Lock On' to use lock on target mode, target-guided, must maintain lock on enemy and must precision in order to hit.

[BAGM]

  • Ballistic Air-to-Ground Missile, large blast radius, slow speed but inflict absurdly high damage, target-guided, must be locked on enemy, change into next or previous target to change direction into the other locked target.

"One crossed wire, one wayward pinch of potassium chlorate, one errant twitch... and kablooie!"

WARNING! Nuke. Use it with caution, it may can become a backfire for your aircraft if you get closer into it's blast radius. Keep your distance with the blast radius is recommended.

[Notes]

  • Even with the default setting, the landing gear is still bouncy. There is no way for me to fix the bouncy landing gear issue..

@intruder72 well yes I know that, (Cela expliquerait les oreillers corporels baguette que j'ai trouvés chez votre LeClerc. Ne demandez pas pourquoi j'étais là.)
But I've seen other people mention this sarcasm joke as well, what gives? Is it a meme or smth?

@LunarEclipseSP myb it is the bombing/nav radar?i've found it on wiki:
A bombing/navigation radar is housed within an oblique-facing radome underneath the fuselage between the intakes and aft of the cockpit

@SuperSuperTheSylph had no idea though, that circle also exist on real life Mirage IV as well.

idk i tried to fix it and i do not see any other remedy than being around 300km/h or less in landing zone and gently touching the runway w rear wheels somehow

    very good plane though,quite a C H O N K A

@Monarchii does the handling and mobility of this plane is quite fast? Or it is just a perfect speed? Or possibly too sluggish? Let me know about it so that this can be qualified. And yes it has exactly 7 wing parts and not exceeding.
