F118 Thunderstrike 8.7 3 tone vietnam

233k RamboJutter  5.7 years ago
Auto Credit Based on RamboJutter's F105 alternative Mk2 unfinished 4.7 for testing

Firstly, AG1 for flaps, AG2 for undercarriage doors, AG3 for lights, AG4 for droptanks and AG5 for arrestor hook (not a naval aircraft but used to catch wires on runway if brake or airbrake failure).

Based loosely on a mix of the F105 Thunderchief and the YF-23, I was looking at the alternative reality where Vietnam had continued as a conflict pushing aircraft development further, plus i thought it looked cool =)

Secondly, the colour schemes in the forum resulted in the Vietnam colour being published, the grey came in second.

This is a really impressive reimagining of the Thud. Not only does it embody the spirit and impact of the original, but the stealth elements blend perfectly with the original intentions of the design.

Journalists have repeatedly compared the F-105 to the F-35, and the Thunderchief was actually quite stealthy for its time. I am really blown away here.

Absolutely fabulous! This is a piece of art, and your trademark camouflaging really shines in this plane. Great job as always!
