Rhithiol Rh-44 "Hollow"
Hey everyone, Zerø here. And in this, SimplePlanes Post, I've made another fictional helicopter.
Coaxial rotor moment. Very epique.
Definitely not a ripoff Ka-50.
Introduction:
The Rhithiol Rh-44 "Hollow" is a Co-Axial 3 bladed rotor, single seated, Attack Helicopter built as a successor to the Rh-22. Unlike the Rh-22 which is meant to save the company from complete bankruptcy, the Rh-44 was designed to be as effective as possible. Complete with Fly By Wire, the aircraft was also designed to be easy to fly to reduce the stress of the singular pilot.
History:
(This part is entirely fictional.)
Following the success of the Rh-22 in the 1970s, the company had succeeded in saving itself from the brink of collapsing. Rhithiol now realized the potential of making rotorcrafts for the military. As the war was brewing larger and larger, Rhithiol saw an opportunity for more businesses and started to design a new military rotorcraft.
The design originally called for a single 5 bladed main rotor with a 4 bladed tail rotor, but that was quickly changed for a coaxial rotor for easier to fly purposes. It took Rhithiol 3 years of designing, and by now the war he saw as a business opportunity is showing signs of ending. He starts to worry if the war is over, the new rotorcraft wouldn't have as much impact as it's predecessor.
In November 27th 1978, the first prototype was rolled out of the factory and made it's maiden flight. However, the flight did not go as smoothly as planned. As a result of throttle governor malfunction, the rotor oversped and was almost torn off the helicopter. Luckily, test pilot Sgt. Henry Mitchell noticed the increase in noise pitch on the helicopter's engine and declared an emergency before the rotor was able to be torn off. Rhithiol took this matter seriously and started to redevelop a more redundant Throttle Governor system. The development took him 4 years before the next prototype was able to be flown.
With the war ending somewhere in early 1980s, Rhithiol almost lost hope with the helicopter he designed for so long. However, he didn't stop. He has already came this far, he doesn't want to give up. After a series of testing, the finalized product was then mass produced starting in June of 1992.
Loadout:
1x MG38 Autocannon
A 30mm autocannon mounted beneath the rotorcraft's nose, similar to that of the M230 Chain Gun.8x AGM-114R Hellfire Romeo
The latest iteration of the Hellfire missile, a fire and forget laser guided missile, intended for all ground targets.2x LAU-130/A
A rocket pod which carries a total of 19x Hydra 70 rockets.2x AIM-9X Sidewinder
A heatseeking close range missile, and the latest iteration of the AIM-9 series, featuring thrust vectoring.
Controls & Features:
Controls:
There's a manual which exists in the Craft Instructions. It's also complete with Startup, Takeoff, Landing procedures, as well as how to employ the weapons. It's not 100% complete, so some may be added to the future. Please read them first before flying. Thank you for your attention!
Features:
- A full on Fly-By-Wire system with no involvement in Gyroscope! Complete with attitude and altitude hold.
- A target tracking camera! Though it isn't perfect, unfortunately.
- A camera aiming gun.
- A manual, though it isn't a complete one.
- A short, cold-start procedure!
- Selective jettison!

Hey, im have heli like this
@KenzarAircraft
sure, just be sure to put credits
@ZeroWithSlashedO can I use this as the secondary attack helicopter for my fictional country? Also, 100th upvote!
Good 10/10
cool helicopter, looks good.
very arcade style flight model, easy to use.
-yaws to the right when hovering...
wish there was a way to disable the FT flight system for more realistic flying.
a way to switch it on or off to give it more realistic usability.
@ZeroWithSlashedO Even Me Work On A Single-Seat Attack Heli!
John Cena: Are you sure about that
Very noice helicopter very realistic
