_ The plane WIKI:_
The Saab 340 is a Swedish twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and initially produced by Saab AB and Fairchild Aircraft. It is designed to seat 30-36 passengers and, as of July 2018, there were 240 operational aircraft used by 34 different operators.
"Winter, winter! It's raining snow!"
-The SAAB pilot
Under the production arrangement in which production was split 65:35 between Saab and Fairchild, Saab constructed the all-aluminum fuselage and vertical stabilizer along with final assembly of the aircraft in Linköping, Sweden, while Fairchild was responsible for the wings, empennage, and wing-mounted nacelles for the two turboprop engines. After Fairchild ceased this work in 1985, production of these components was transferred to Sweden.
On 25 January 1983, the Saab 340 conducted its maiden flight. During the early 1990s, an enlarged derivative of the airliner, designated as the Saab 2000, was introduced. However, sales of the type declined due to intense competition within the regional aircraft market. Saab decided to cease production of the aircraft.

The Airline history:
Blue Air X, it's a frogotten Japanese low-cost airline, that began operations in 1987 with an initial fleet of SAAB 340s. The first aircraft, registered as J1400RA, is still in operation today, becoming a symbol of the company’s durability and reliability. Initially, Blue Air X focused on domestic routes, connecting cities such as Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka to more remote destinations in Japan, such as Hokkaido and Okinawa.

Expansion and Acquisitions
Over the years, Blue Air X has expanded its fleet and operations. In 1999, the company took delivery of its first Boeing 737-500, registered as J2157RA. This aircraft allowed the company to increase its passenger capacity and offer longer flights, including international routes to Asian destinations such as Seoul, Taipei and Hong Kong.

Future
In the future, Blue Air X plans to acquire a Boeing 767-200, previously operated by All Nippon Airways, to expand its long-haul international routes. This move will allow the company to enter more competitive markets and offer flights to North America while maintaining its commitment to affordable prices and efficient service.
