This plane has been in the role of refueling in the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran for many years and is one of the most decisive weapons of Iran in the eight-year war with Iraq. In a period of time, the Iranian Air Force was forced to install seats on this plane in order to finance the air force's budget with commercial flights. In the operation to attack H3, which is the largest modern air operation in the history of aviation that Iran succeeded in carrying out, Iranian fighters were able to completely bomb and destroy the Iraqi Air Force's H3 bases with the help of this refueling plane.
