About The 727
The Boeing 727 is an American narrow-body airliner that was developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After the heavy 707 quad-jet was introduced in 1958, Boeing addressed the demand for shorter flight lengths from smaller airports. On December 5, 1960, the 727 was launched with 40 orders each from United Airlines and Eastern Air Lines. The first 727-100 rolled out November 27, 1962, first flew on February 9, 1963, and entered service with Eastern on February 1, 1964.
The only trijet aircraft to be produced by Boeing, the 727 is powered by Pratt & Whitney JT8D low-bypass turbofans below a T-tail, one on each side of the rear fuselage and a center one fed through an S-duct. It shares its six-abreast upper fuselage cross-section and cockpit with the 707. The 133 ft (40.5 m) long 727-100 typically carries 106 passengers in two classes over 2,250 nmi (4,170 km), or 129 in a single class. Launched in 1965, the stretched 727-200 flew in July 1967 and entered service with Northeast Airlines that December. The 20 ft (6.1 m) longer variant typically carries 134 passengers in two classes over 2,550 nmi (4,720 km), or 155 in a single class. Besides the airliner accommodation, a freighter and a Quick Change convertible version were offered.
The 727 was used for many domestic flights and on some international flights within its range. Airport noise regulations have led to hush kit installations. Its last commercial passenger flight was in January 2019. It was succeeded by the 757-200 and larger variants of the 737.
About Braniff
Braniff Airways, Inc., operating as Braniff International Airways from 1948 until 1965, and then Braniff International from 1965 until air operations ceased in 1982, was an American airline that flew air carrier operations and conducted other travel related businesses from 1928 until 1982 and continues today as a retailer, hotelier, travel service and branding and licensing company, administering the former airline's employee pass program and other airline administrative duties. Braniff's routes were primarily in the midwestern and southwestern United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America. In the late 1970s it expanded to Asia and Europe. The airline ceased air carrier operations in May 1982 because of high fuel prices, credit card interest rates and extreme competition from the large trunk carriers and the new airline startups created by the Airline Deregulation Act of December 1978.
Braniff was at one point, the fastest growing airline the US, and operated an incredibly diverse fleet of aircraft. For example, Braniff was the only US carrier to ever operate the Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde...
Braniff also operated multiple BAC-111s, 707s,727s, DC-8s, and several 747s, among other aircraft. Braniff was best known for their striking orange 'Great Pumpkin' livery, as seen on this Braniff 747-100.
Something that is not discussed much, despite being one of the most unique details of the airline, are the liveries Braniff applied to its planes starting in 1967. Braniff's aircraft were painted in one of 15 color schemes as part of Braniff's 'End of the Plain Plane' campaign which aimed to change from Braniffs original scheme to something that would stand out at any airport terminal. These colors included:
-Beige
-Blue
-Yellow
-Ochre
-Orange
-Turqouise
-Green
-Red
-Burgandy
-Brown
The aircraft could be painted in a single color, two colors, or a metallic hued color. This fleet of aircraft would become known as the 'Flying Colors of Braniff', or often the 'Jellybean' paint scheme.
The aircraft recreated is a Braniff Boeing 727-227 in the Blue/Light Blue livery with the registration N436BN.
If this post does well, I might do the other three 'two tone' liveries, who knows? This was more of an experiment for me to see what my limits are. I know its not 100% perfect, but I gotta start somewhere. Also consider this my Bronze Trophy award post. Thank you to the people who supported me and continue to do so. You know who you are if you're reading this.
Aircraft controls are listed in game. Have a smooth flight!

@DeadlyDialga I know this isn't a place to promote someone's own posts, but here! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/BB64o6/Boeing-767-300ER-Lauda-Air-READ-DESCRIPTION
Please read the description cause' I don't want to be seen as someone who reposts.
@SheriffHackdogMCPE
Indeed… then again I uploaded and removed this like 20 times while it was unlisted as I made revisions so I don’t know if it’s the site or just a skill issue on my end
Autocredit broken today, eh?
@TheD2O
Thank you! Like I said, this was just a test to evaluate my skill. Hopefully I’ll make something better soon.
@TheFlightGuySP
I was on the fence about making an account for a long time. Kept wanting to but wasn’t sure what I would make/do/upload… finally gave in and here we are.
This is amazing stuff.
Ah, I see you have finally created an account.
