M-18D-1
Description:
The M-18 is an hungarian medium bomber manufactured in mid 1935 and a month ago had it's first flight, and introduced in 1936. By the end of 1939, the main missions of the M-18s were the bombing of Polish cities, until in 1941 the main targets began to be enemy bases and airfields. By 1944, it was apparent that the M-18 was becoming obsolete due to rapidly changing technology. To minimize the problem, Hungary upgraded and improved the M-18s to continue to perform bombing operations. In mid-1944, the M-18 was replaced by the M-24 as the new long-range bomber, but it still served well as a short-range bomber.
