Super Raptor

The J-10 is a single engine, rectangular abdominal intake, low triangular wing, duck front wing, large vertical tail wing and high maneuvering all-weather multi-purpose fighter, designed by 611 Chengdu aircraft Design Institute and manufactured by Chengdu aircraft Industry Company. It flew for the first time in 1998 and served in (PLAAF) of the Chinese Air Force in 2003.

The J-10 (J / 10) development plan, known as Project 8610, officially began in 1986 with the goal of developing a light fighter capable of fighting the fourth generation of fighter aircraft, such as MIG-29 and Su-27. The aircraft was originally designed as an air superiority fighter, but later became a multipurpose fighter as demand changed. The aircraft is widely speculated to have been developed on the basis of the Lion (Lavi) light fighter cancelled by the Israeli aerospace industry company (IAI). Although both China and Israel deny it, the high similarity between the two aircraft seems to support this claim. Since 1990, Russia has provided key assistance to the development of the J-10 aircraft, helping engineers in Chengdu to integrate the AL-31F turbofan engine of Lyulka-Saturn into the aircraft.

AL-31, a series of turbine fan engines produced by the Russian scientific research and production consortium, was originally used on Su-27 fighters, while other derivatives were used on aircraft including Su-30MKI and China's J-10.

AL-31 began mass production in 1984, and the special improved version of R = 32 was used on the P / 42 testing machine and set a world climbing rate record in 1986.

AL-31 is designed with two shafts, with a rear combustor, a fan section with 4 stages, another 9 stage compression section, a ring design for the combustion section, and a high and low pressure stage for the turbine section. The maximum output of military thrust is 74.5 kilotons, the maximum afterburning thrust is 122.58 kilotons, and the by-pass ratio is 0.59 × 1.

It is said that the J-10's electronic equipment is more advanced than other Chinese fighter planes, the cockpit is called full "vitrification" interface, equipped with a flat-view display (HUD) and three black-and-white or color downlooking multifunctional display (MFD), using 1553B digital bus, the degree of information is higher than all previous Chinese fighter planes and even the J-11 produced by Shenyang aircraft Company in the same period (the Chinese version of Su-27). The necessary control switches for flight operations are concentrated on the pilot rod in the middle and the throttle rod on the left side of the cockpit.

When the J-10 was in service, it was equipped with a fully coherent pulse Doppler fire control radar, with a variety of working modes, with over-the-horizon and multi-target capabilities. It is said that the maximum search distance is 160 km, the upper apparent distance is 100 km, and the lower apparent distance is 80 km. The pilot was equipped with a helmet sight

    @Qingqiu See the cockpit ? For what ? Understand the part-count ? It's not an excuse, my last build as a cockpit too and I my build is still at 1000 parts, NOT 3000. And having a good looking cockpit is a thing, but when your plane flys like a brick well the cockpit isn't really useful.

    @UAviator Are you sure? They look very different both externally and in shape, although they both look surprisingly like afterburning turbojet engine nozzles. Totally not as if most modern nozzles of this kind of engine were similar in design.
    Chinese engineers might have taken inspiration from or even copied some foreign designs, but this is definitely not the case

    @edensk damn you're pretty good too for making high part-count builds ;) just kidding I agree with you, Qingqiu listen, having almost 3000 parts is already way to much, but so many parts on a build that doesn't look like having so much and doesn't have the right shape sometimes is even worse. Also the flight model is...weird ? not funny to fly ? boring ? The panneling is lame and that weird concave part is ugly, you could have used concave parts instead, the back of the wings are squarish. For me, this build is n't good, it's a "meh". (and I'm not happy because your thumbnail made me click and now I'm disappointed)

    this is an average replica with a huge part count and flies just as I expected, in future builds I recommend you try putting all this effort into the shape and functionality instead of throwing thousands of parts into details. Just my thoughts
