Victoria M5A7 MBT

Auto Credit Based on Pilotmario's Victoria M5A6 MBT

A modification to the M5A6 Victoria, providing it a new turret as well as improving the transmission to the TUP II standard. The partially unmanned turret was considered a failure, and was highly unpopular when mechanical issues began to spring up. A new turret was devised, featuring an improved autoloader and crew arrangement within the turret. The well-angled turret front and sides created a vulnerable shot trap, and some machines were fitted with A5 turrets as a result, kown as M5A6/5. A newer turret was developed to replace this expident solution. The hull armor remained the same.

    @TemDesBur Yep.

Here's how I think is the power displacement in the world:

Awwam has numerical and logistical superiority.

Paternia has diplomatic and strategic superiority.

And PINK threw away both of them in the GWW2.

@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation He doesn't do war intelligently.

Let's say you are the E-100 platoon, with the 120mm evaporator aimed down an alley. Of course, you can't hide an E-100 very well, so we know that you're coming down.

Now me and PINK are in a platoon with me in the M26 Pershing and PINK in the IS-3.

He insists on trading shots with his IS-3. And of course get evaporated and starts calling German bias.

Which leaves me in a 1v3 against three mostly full-HP E-100s. And I know that 180mm of pen isn't going to do me shit against an E-100, so I dab the 2 key for the necessary skill I will need to penetrate your armor.

So I then chip the HP of your E-100s off as I lead them into a blind chase across the map until it's a 1v1. But I'm out of skill ammo, and you're getting ganked hard, and the game ends in a draw.

Neither of us could afford to fight again because I can't afford to fire that much skill all the time, and you can't afford constant E-100 ammo and repair bills.

You can. We won't necessarily adopt your equipment due to our desire for standardization, but if whatever you make is worth the price of refitting all of our units with it, then we will certainly adopt it.

After all, the Romans became great because they were so adaptable.

Whenever an opponent presented a superior weapon or tactic, the Romans would discard their inferior weapons or tactics in favor of the superior weapons and tactics. @TemDesBur

@TemDesBur He should at least employ them in reserve duty.

Also, I think you should encourage him to adopt Paternian artillery ammunition types to allow easier cooperation between our forces.

@Alix451 Yeah. We figured that the first shot should also be the last shot when engaging armor.

Emphasizing its lower profile. However, we also know this is not always the case, and gave it lots of armor.

As of now, the Victoria series is one of the most powerful in the world. 70 tons of battle-proven steel and composites, there is nothing in the world that can punch through its thick hide.

When Awwami tanks first encountered it, it proved a very tough target, forcing them to engage the sides and rear at suicidal ranges, where its gun could kill them at long ranges.

While it is not as superior as it once was, it is still a very tough target, tougher than any other tank out there.

Now of course, this comes with downsides. Being a 70 ton tank is not an easy thing to be, and areas where the lighter Avenger and Ardent could travel, the Victoria could not.

In addition, its transmission was borrowed from the 30 ton Avenger tank. Although re-geared to accommodate the higher mass of the Victoria with great reliability, the machine is the slowest of all main battle tanks, and often after the initial assault, it would be overtaken by faster vehicles.

Furthermore, these things cost a fortune: P$5M per unit, or US$25M per tank. In contrast, the M6 Ardent costs P$2.1M, or US$10.5M per tank. They also have greater maintenance requirements, so they aren't something the budget-minded politicians like.

But the troops do, and it is by its popularity that the machine remains in service.

@pilotmario Beautiful tank. The low profile means it can be hidden along ambush routes and covered in brush, which the M97A3 is not really meant for
