Su-13 (1946) Miniplane

This one flies ;) just needed to give a higher scale.
The Su-13, (Samolyet KT), was the final attempt to further increase performance of the basic Su-9 design, using wing sections reduced from 11% to 9% thickness/chord ratio and swept tailplanes. The aircraft was also fitted with a pair of Klimov RD-500 (unlicensed copies of the Rolls-Royce Derwent) engines with 15.6 kN (3,500 lbf) thrust each. The armament was changed to three 37 mm Nudelman N-37 cannon, while drop tanks could be fitted underneath the wingtips. A night fighter version with a Torii radar was also proposed, but this required major structural changes to accommodate the radar. Neither version made it off the drawing board.

@Burdo Yeah i´m crazy about miniplanes ^_^ one day i might do something normal!
@ThomasRoderick have a look
I looks awesome now :) could start redoing this bird if i was not already busy in another.
@nadvgia They have a relatively low thrust, I think perhaps adding 4 or more of them for each booster is a good idea. Those things start as fairly small rockets.
@ThomasRoderick thanks, i might do a research regarding boosters for that time but for now i´ll try the 30'' to see the results.
@nadvgia RATO Boosters, grab by the detachers (gray parts); if you have an Overload XML editor, change the value behind "burnTimer" on those rockets into whatever you need. My default is 30 seconds. Activate by firing rockets.
@nadvgia How many seconds of boost do you need? Although if you have Overload XML editor just change the value behind the "burnTimer" to your needed value.
@ThomasRoderick roger that, if you have an example of a booster rocket, pls link me to it, i still want to make better versions of what i did so far.
Give me a shout if you need booster rockets, although I'm more than sure their thrust cannot be modified through conventional means.
@nadvgia I mean from the original drawing those things do look like booster rockets... With the Overload XML Editor I think you can make actual boosters. I have made a few experimental boosters a while ago, although I haven't uploaded any. Also, to make your builds more flyable, you can stack multiple layers of the same wing (by mirroring the part, moving the mirrored part up/down by a few nudges, mirror back, mirror the craft, repeat). `
@ThomasRoderick i believe so, i wanted to have those with short fuel powered but it is not possible with simpleplanes normal engines :/ thanks for upvoting btw :D
Are those rockets at the rear used for take-off assists?
@micheruru Thanks :)
@ChickenMcNuggets007 heya!
@nadvgia
@nadvgia ya
@CYBERBEAST like a deadly toy!
i like it small and fast
@LOWEWAYY Thanks, a shame it never flew IRL
That a very nice Jet
