NASA Saturn V SHLV
Salutations!
A shot of Saturn V, flying towards the moon.
So, what is the Saturn V?
It's the (absolutely beautiful) retired American Super Heavy Launch Vehicle, developed by NASA for the Apollo Space Program, responsible for delivering 9 crewed flights to the moon and also used as the launch vehicle for Skylab, which is the first American space station.
Manufactured by Boeing, Douglas and North American, the Saturn V had a project cost of 6.417 billion USD, with a hefty launch price tag of 1.23 billion, if it were to be launched in 2019.
Dimensions and specifications:
Saturn V is well known for its size. Here are its specifications.
Cost:
Project cost - $6.417 Billion USD
Cost per launch in 1971 - $185 Million USD
Dimensions:
Height - 363ft (110.6m)
Diameter - 33ft (10.1m)
Mass - Between 6221000lb (2822000kg) and 6537000lb (2965000)kg
Stages - 3
Capacity
(Payload to Low Earth Orbit)
Altitude - 90nmi (170km)
Orbital Inclination - 30 degrees
Mass - 310,000lb (140,000kg)
(Payload to Trans Lunar Injection)
Mass - 43,500kg (95,900lb)
Launch History
Retired, previously launched from Kennedy Space Center.
Underwent 13 total launches, 12 of which succeeded and 1 which partially failed (Apollo 6).
The rocket's first flight was on the 9th November, 1967, launching Apollo 4, and its final flight was on May 14th, 1973, carrying Skylab.

A frame used to construct the rocket, with accurate spacing between each stage and significant contour on the craft.
In-game Performance
An Akoyan KE-1 Centurion, captured flying past the launch up close.

Throttle - Activate engines
There is also rather limited pitch and roll control, assisted by a gyroscope, perfect for if you like flying your rockets at a slight incline. (Careful on the controls tho)
All of the Saturn V Launches - arent they amazing?
Creator's note
I definitely enjoyed putting this low part count build together, and it was also quite worth experimenting with the label part. Though it was complicated getting it right at first, i definitely feel that this build has definitely set a good course.
(Note, 1st stage control surfaces have since been pruned slightly, for partcount requirements)
I have a project due to release quite soon, so you might see some new things around on the site quite soon.
For now though, i wish you good luck on your day today, and until next time,
farewell.
