Bell P-400 Airacobra (P-39D-1)
Low-altitude Fighter/Interceptor

A fighter produced by Bell Aircraft for the United States Army Air Force during the second World War. Though a rather successful combat plane, it's plagued by horrible high-altitude performance due to the lack of an effective turbo-supercharger. This more than makes up for it in firepower, though. Armed with six machine guns and a rapid firing autocannon, the P-400 can easily rip apart any unfortunate bandit that gets within it's firing line.

==STANDARD LOADOUT==
4x .30 Browning M1919, wing mounted
2x .50 Browning AN/M2, nose mounted
1x 20mm Hispano autocannon, propeller hub

(Optional)
1x Boom 25 GP bomb centerline bombrack

Updates/Changes and Perfomance

  • P-400/P-39D-1 conversion
  • Added War Emergency Power system (FT code taken from Alisuchanka's P-40F-10. Can be toggled through AG2
  • Emissive gunsight for better targeting in different conditions
  • Replaced 37mm M1 cannon with 20mm Hispano-Suiza HS.404
  • Just like the entire P-39 family of fighters, it's no short of being trash at high altitude (13,000ft and above). Remain at 1000-9400ft for optimum combat performance.
  • Keep advantage over bandits by maintaining high airspeed. Go too slow and the plane will be a sitting duck.

Fly fast, fly far, fly safe.
If under attack, fly like a madman, but don't kill yourself in the process. Deliberately, or accidentally.

Have fun.
