O Mitsubishi A7M Reppu (??, "Forte Vento") foi projetado como o sucessor do A6M Zero da Marinha Imperial Japonesa , com desenvolvimento começando em 1942. Os objetivos de desempenho eram alcançar velocidade, subida, mergulho e armamento superiores em relação ao Zero. , bem como melhor manobrabilidade – todos os parâmetros que foram finalmente alcançados no final do seu desenvolvimento em 1945. No entanto, as limitações da indústria japonesa no final da guerra impediram que o A7M entrasse na produção em massa ou fosse implantado para serviço ativo, e nunca viu serviço ativo.
