The IL-4 bomber was developed from the DB-3 bomber, originally the DB-3M, soon after production it was renamed the DB-3F. in 1942 it was officially renamed the IL-4. the IL-4 bomber (produced before 1939 as the DB-3) was the Soviet Union's main medium bomber in World War II.
