Background

The M486 is a modification to the Antelope Armoured Combat Vehicle to carry a 120mm Autoloading smoothbore gun. Crewed by 4 people. The main gun is taken from the M1032 Khuligan, but carrying less armour. The vehicle cannot easily handle the recoil of the gun and can usually only fire a few shots before having to drive back into a firing position. The windows are protected against high powered rifles and designed with a wide field of view for both driver and crew. It also provides the driver and the commander with integrated night and day vision cameras that enable operations in night drives without head lights.
