Fictional Description

The Leopard A1A2 was a joint project in 1993 by Porsche and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann to produce a variant of the leopard 1 that could be procured by the former soviet block countries, The hull of the leopard tank remained unchanged with only added Composite armor blocks and skirts, the turret however was changed with it being of a welded design, being armed with the 2A46 125mm Smoothbore gun with a coaxial 12.7x108mm Machine gun, a 14.5mm MG a new independent commanders sight, and an autoloader similar to the one in the Leclerc MBT with a read facing blowout panel.

The MBT-1A6 was a significant upgrade to the slightly outdated MBT-1A5, Developed from the aforementioned MBT-1A5s that came from Alpendstadt thru the SEMO arms unification program in 1960 the tanks received numerous upgrades such as a new more reliable and more powerful engine and running gear, better armor, a new welded turret, M-13A1 125mm Smoothbore gun with a coaxial 12.7x108mm Machine gun, a 14.5mm MG, a new independent commanders sight, and an autoloader.
