Aichi D3A Val
Originally for WinsWing’s WWII Rush Challange, although I can’t read and made a dive bomber instead of a fighter, thought I would post this anyway because I am pretty proud of this one, even if it won’t count. The Aichi D3A was the primary dive bomber for the IJN in WW2. It’s obvious 1930’s design is seen with the fixed landing gear and slow speed. Built for use on carriers, the Val was a huge contributor to many naval missions, including Pearl Harbor, Coral Sea, Midway, Leyte Gulf, and so on. Although it was technically replaced mid war, it would be used throughout the entirety of the war, even doing some kamikaze missions in the late part of the war. This model is easy to fly, VTOL down to fold wings, VTOL up to go into dive configuration, and AG 1 for tailhook. Landing on the carrier is also quite forgiving too. Be careful not to accidentally shoot off your tail with the rear gun, it swivels automatically as you roll.
