Introduction

The Type 055 destroyer is a new fleet air defense destroyer developed by China. China's first 055 destroyer left the wharf of Shanghai Jiangnan Shipyard on the morning of August 24, 2018 for the first sea test. On April 23, 2019, during the naval parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Navy, the destroyer NanChang was inspected. On January 12, 2020, it will be incorporated into the train, with the port number of 101.
The 055 destroyer was born at the right time and shouldered a heavy responsibility. It is of great significance for the Chinese Navy to implement the strategy of "offshore defense and offshore protection". In the open sea and ocean operations, we need to face a powerful opponent with full dimensional space combat capability, with air defense, anti-missile, anti-submarine, anti-ship and other high-end and high-intensity operations as the main content. The 055 missile destroyer with outstanding air defense and antimissile capabilities, after being put into service in batches, can provide a more reliable "air protection umbrella" for the Chinese Navy's aircraft carrier battle group and surface ship battle group, and provide better assurance for its mission in the open ocean.
The displacement of the 055 destroyer is about 10000 tons, which is one of the most powerful destroyers in the world
