[FICTIONAL]
"Upgraded" D-3.
Never avionics, radar and a "new" airframe, as well as the addition of the second engine made the D-3-2 the ultimate version of the D-3.
As soon as D-3 got adopted by the [...] air force, the upgraded version, the D-3-2 rolled out. It featured countless improvements, not only to the equipment, but the flight performance as well. Two [...] engines were installed instead of one, substantially increasing it's acceleration and T/W ratio, and also making it fly faster, with supersonic level flight finally being available at high altitudes. Wings were swept back more specifically to achieve that. Wings were reinforced and widened a bit and wing fences were installed to further increase the wing performance. The armament capacity haven't changed much.
Almost 5000 aircraft were built from [...] to [...], and less than a thousand were sold to other countries.
D-3-2 served the [...] air force for around twenty years, and it was retired in [...]. It fought in [...] ([...]), shooting down [...] [...] bombers, [...] transport and [...] fighter aircraft, which was the most successful war for the D-3-2, earning the "[...] of [...]'s [...]" nickname among the pilots. It made an appearance in [...], [...], [...], [...] and [...], and many other conflicts around the globe, being operated by other countries.

Nice plane.
The definition of improvement. As always looks good, the inspiration of early Soviet jets on your design really blends on and I enjoy how it flyes, really good job ;)
Is this fictional? It looks good!
