Kalinin K-7

Auto Credit Based on BaconAircraft's CLOSED! Soviet Aircraft Challenge!

It's here! This is my take on the Kalinin K-7! Some parts are a bit rough, especiallt the wings. It has some holes here and there, let's just say those holes are for ventilation okay? xD

Aww man the challenge I made this for is closed! :(

So yeah, here it is. Nothing special, just a big a55 plane with big a55 guns! Which is just for visuals and not actual guns XD

Vtol slider to move the "turrets"
Takeoff speed is about 230mph (i think)
It flies, seriously, it does fly.
Just don't roll too much on low altitude because you might hit the ground because the pitch is not to good because the plane is just too big. :)

Enjoy :)

I would say the biggest difference between my kalinin K-7 and this is that mine fits in the circle. Also, your level of detail is far superior to anything that I could ever hope to make.

@Sutairs Ah I see! Did you try setting the pylons to zero release force? Probably a foolish question as you're obviously a skilled builder. I haven't tried verticle drop arrangements yet though if I want to produce realistic WW2 German bombers I'll have to cross that threshhold myself. I noticed that the more disposable ordinance you add to a vehicle (aircraft or otherwise) it induces more lag. I had to omit the Infernos from a ship I have on a back burner at the moment due to the added lag they would have provided. That new B-17G in the hot section of aircraft has Boom-50s nudged into the belly and apparently they can be dropped individually through the belly without having to fear them blowing up. That said, again, they aren't positioned nose down. Its highly likely that as they're meant to detonate when their nose hits another object that they would detonate if mounted nose down.

@DragonAerotech thanks man! Yeah Ive tried added bombs in it but the plane keeps blowing up when I release them. Ive tried 4 different setups but ending up with the same explosive results plus its very laggy to me xD

Wow, does not even begin to cover this project! It looks like that thick wing gave you considerable trouble but we work with what we have and do the best we can - which you definitely did with this build! I tried taking off from Bandit when I first loaded it and apparently the runway wasn't wide enough because she caught on something and turned hard to starboard. lol No problems taking off from South Airport though. I am stunned by the sheer size, intricacy and clever adaptations such as using the jet engines as cowled radials with a T1000 prop engine as the "spinner" for looks. I wonder who the fourth person is in the cockpit though? Lenin, Stalin, Kruchiev and ... Marx perhaps? XD j/k I noticed that you had a sizable bomb bay all set up, why did you opt against adding bombs to the hardpoints? The lag factor? Anyway, good job bringing something to the table I think few would ever attempt to reproduce in SimplePlanes.

Its very nicely detailed but the jet engines kinda kill the immersion.
