Auto Credit Based on mikoyanster's Naval Attack Challenge
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber used by the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1984. The F-105 was one of the primary attack aircraft of the Vietnam War; over 20,000 Thunderchief sorties were flown, with 382 aircraft lost. Controls; (AG1) arresting hook, (AG2) lights, (AG3) brake chute, (AG4) gyro, (AG5) afterburner, (AG6) dump all hardpoints, (AG7) unlock/lock nose wheel. For the challenge, the F105 is equipped with some standard SP weaponry, scaled to approximate AGM's of the era. Giver it a bit of trim on takeoff, and use the afterburner. It will take off without, but needs a lot of runway...

@SimplyPlain thanks, yours is good with many details most miss, like that speedbrake.
@ChiChiWerx I just checked... wouldn't call it just an "attempt" though. Great build, has a lot more details than mine. The super sabre looks quite the part as well.
@SimplyPlain have you seen my attempt at this subject?
Dear god yes :D
@ChiChiWerx true, they probably never had to attack naval targets. But it should be as good at it as any carrier-borne plane; it can haul a decent payload, and it's fast enough to get the hell outta dodge after delivering its package. Let's wait & see :D it's not the most modern plane of course, but it should still pack a punch.
My goodness this is incredible! How do you get the shape of the fuselage that exact and perfect? It’s really superb and the detail on this aircraft is phenomenal. Wonderful build
It’s interesting you would spend all this effort to make a decent F-105...they’re difficult, I should know, but then use it for the “naval attack challenge” as the Thud was, first, a USAF nuclear strike bomber, then the conventional bomber workhorse for the first half of the Vietnam War. Never attacked a naval target that I know of; however, I would expect that it would have made a formidable naval attack aircraft, if it had ever been used as such.
Just perfect . Great plane .
